This weekend I decided to fix it — and benchmark the new wave of AI coding assistants at the same time: Claude Code, Claude Code Web, Google Antigravity, and OpenAI Codex, with visuals from Google Nano Banana and ChatGPT.
Claude Code Web was by far the best autonomous agent — it planned, iterated, and wrote tests almost like a cofounder. I even ran five sessions in parallel from my phone until I hit the session cap.
The result: WishDrop.io A small app that helps families and friends coordinate gifts without duplicates. No login, instant sharing, real-time reservations. Even the name (and domain check!) came from AI.
Built with Next.js 16, Turso, Prisma, Resend, Tailwind 4, and deployed on Vercel — a reminder that modern stacks now feel lightyears ahead of Big Cloud setups.
Go test it wishdrop.io (And yes, you can probably break it if you try )
