Hey folks, I'm a student dev and built a small tool for Linux called SimplyToast.

It’s a lightweight app for viewing background processes, managing startup apps, and checking their system impact. No root required, works on Ubuntu/GNOME out of the box, and comes with .deb + AppImage builds.

This isn’t meant to be some big “optimizer” app — just a clean, simple way to see what’s running and control what launches at startup.

Would love feedback regarding this. contact me on discord: toast.1599 regarding anything about this project. thanks!

The author is sharing a new Linux startup and background process manager called SimplyToast, likely seeking feedback and interest from the community.
