i'm building a command-line community for developers, builders and creators.
if you don't know how to use a cli, this place probably isn't for you.
because you have to use commands like 'cd', 'cat' and 'ls' to browse the community.
it's a nostalgic trip down memory lane, loaded with easter eggs.
currently the waitlist is open, but here's what i'm planning with it:
/feed think x meets irc, but initially without an algorithm deciding what you'll see. showing posts in descending order never hurt anyone, right?
/leaderboard weekly, monthly and yearly leaderboard, based on activity, github contributions and profile views. this will be harder to implement, but nonetheless my ambition.
/communities find like-minded people to socialize with, discuss and show off your work - in the style of a 90s bullentin board system
/dir explore projects, launches, ebooks, curated content, directories, tools, jobs. everything your developer heart desires. i'm still figuring out the logistics of how this is will work. ideally the community helps curating the content here.
hope you'll check it out, and feel free to give feedback. i'd love to hear what you'd hope to be able to do there.
terminal, is life - mads
