I wouldn't, but I'm old school. I'm also one of those people who has their lawyer present at closing. OOH - that really saved my bacon a couple of times! Ever buy a house from a couple going through a divorce? Yowza! That was an interesting closing!

Hopefully everything works out well for you and you were able to save a few bucks.
