I don't need any of the 3 announced Steam hardware products, I already have a decent gaming PC running Steam on Ubuntu, a VR headset (Meta Quest 3, that I would not have bought had I known earlier, though it works wonders streaming PCVR games through ALVR+SteamVR) and a classic Steam controller that is more reliable that my Xbox One one on BLE.

But I do benefit from the announcement, because this means Valve will continue investing in the GNU/Linux ecosystem, and this will net more Linux players, which in turn means better software overall. Yay!
