Do people still boot from NFS shares?

Booting off NFS shares was once a common practice, particularly in environments where diskless workstations were used. However, with advancements in storage technology and the rise of alternative network boot methods like iPXE and PXE, its usage has declined. That being said, some organizations and research institutions still utilize NFS booting for specific use cases, such as thin client environments or for booting Linux clusters.
