Real short. I started out in optical and electronic engineering, with some data crunching and rapid prototyping. (Aerospace) Major sysadmin (University) and the next was hacking sendmail code for email auditing, and some SNMP (banking), Sales engineering with Sun, a one-person IT department at a startup, and then some consulting at another startup.

Hardly any programming. Scripting as needed.
