OpDuel is a real-time platform in the online crypto casino space. We build systems where correctness, transparency, and performance are critical. A core part of our product is provably fair game logic, where outcomes must be deterministic, mathematically sound, and independently verifiable.

We are looking for a senior engineer with a strong backend foundation and full-stack awareness to help design, build, and operate core systems.

What you’ll work on

* Backend services in Node.js and TypeScript * REST APIs and real-time data flows * Provably fair game logic and verification systems * Elasticsearch for search and analytics * Time-series data using InfluxDB or similar * PostgreSQL data modeling * Containerized services and production reliability * Collaboration with frontend engineers on API contracts

Requirements

* 7+ years professional software engineering experience * Strong Node.js and TypeScript experience in production * REST API design and integration experience * Hands-on Elasticsearch experience * Experience with time-series databases (InfluxDB preferred) * Solid backend architecture and system design skills

Nice to have

* Redis, NATS, RabbitMQ * Docker and cloud environments * GraphQL * SvelteKit, React, or similar frontend frameworks * Cryptographic or fairness-critical systems * iGaming, gaming, or real-time transactional platforms

Why OpDuel

* Small team with high ownership * Real-time, correctness-critical systems * Minimal bureaucracy * Direct impact on core product and architecture
