Fabulous article on a very interesting city and country. When it is stable to travel there again, I would recommend it to any and everyone. It's as unusual and special to visit as Tokyo or Berlin.

It is so strange: so many countries were conquered by the Mongols. But only the Russians claim that whatever is wrong or strange in their country has been caused by the Mongols. Unfortunately this article just repeats that myth.
