Only an animal beguiled by the external, surface effects of its signal and lacking the feeling or sensation of that uncanny connection to the underlying mental states would be this stupid enough to embrace the synthetic half of “communication”. Us.
The idea that an entire industry wants to march us off the ledge operating half of our signal-load is stunning. It’s stupid on a whole new scale, never seen before.
AI could be considered the dumbest possible tech invention that offers the pretense of intelligence. Amazing comp sci departments approached the problem in a vacuum discarding the real underlying syntactical processes.
The problem was always: how do our muscles cohere these form transitions, not how can we operate the external outcomes as prediction. It’s not even reverse engineering. It’s breaking the tethered parts and scattering the arbitrary half in a synthetic soup.
