Seems odd there's still doing old school tests like sit-ups (which from what I've read is a poor exercise even for a casual gym goer). I assume that there's some tradition in "army recruits doing push-ups and sit-ups", but it still seems odd that the off-the-shelf physical trainer has moved on years ago from the 1950s style workout.
