Long overdue action from a geopolitical standpoint. It’s in the best interests of a global power to keep regional players jockeying for 2nd or 3rd position. As soon as someone becomes regional power no. 1, they’re setting their sights on becoming global power no. 1. This can be extended to BRICS, and not just any one country in particular.
