But in 2024, while in charge of the executive branch, they just let it slide. Did they forget how? Did they spend four years tightening election security and get hoist by their own petard?
Dumber things have happened. I can't really explain why voters would chuck Trump out in 2020, and then re-elect him four years later even after having incited a literal insurrection. I hear that the answer is "the price of eggs", but I don't buy that.
So, sure, why not. Still seems funny, though.
