Trump is taking credit for the layoffs and slashing programs, which is different.
What's the rationale for this? Trump clearly does not know what he's talking about, but Vought appears to be smarter. Is the theory that cutting regulation and programs is going to bring about an economic boom, and everyone who is disgruntled by the cuts, layoffs and so forth, will reluctantly come around to see the light?
