Key topics
The mesmerizing world of tiled art has captivated the internet, with artists pushing the limits of this demanding medium to create stunning visuals that evoke the works of M.C. Escher. As commenters marveled at the artistry, some noted that generative models could potentially replicate the effect, while others drew parallels with Escher's tessellations and the iconic illustrations in Douglas Hofstadter's "Godel Escher Bach". The accompanying website, built using Paper.js and GSAP, received praise for its creativity tool and detailed "about" page, although some users encountered JavaScript compatibility issues. The way the artists work this very limiting and demanding medium is impressive, and probably not even easily imitated by general-purpose generative models.
