Back in 2018, I was a teaching assistant at the University of Bristol (UK) on the 1st-year Introduction to Computer Architecture course. Aside from coursework and exams, the final grade included a viva assessment. Three or four students would be assessed by one or two lecturers in a viva: an oral examination similar to a kind of interview. In the age of AI, will we return to this style of examination?
