I could share that, as you drift into senior positions after a decade or so, sure, the technical challenges finally meet or exceed your competence level, but you still have to suck up to those who've always been around or somehow appear out of nowhere to "consult" and you're forced to accomodate them. Annoying is the word for it! Ha!
