In the US, a yellow line vs. a white line on the roadway surface, along with signage directionality, is the only real indicator on whether the leftmost lane is part of a divided highway or a two-way street. It's totally fine to drive in the left lane if it's a divided highway with multiple lanes in the same direction.
Seems with dynamic outdoor lighting and varying condition of street paint, the Tesla webcams are having trouble telling if the lines are white or yellow and driving wrong-way on a two-way street thinking it's a divided highway?
Also, since this was a BBC link, I assumed it was related to right-hand-drive, but it is about incidents in the US
