1 replyI can’t read the article due to the paywall, but as a reminder, the unemployment in Spain is around 11% right now, which is the worst in the EU and double the EU’s overall unemployment rate. Spain’s 2024 GDP growth rate was recently revised upwards to 3.5% and the country’s credit rating is A+. But I get the feeling a lot of people aren’t doing well despite the unexpected economic strength.

Yeah, I think they're just saying that the Spanish economy is growing quickly, more or less. Barring Ireland (whose GDP is so distorted that it should probably be ignored for these purposes) that's not a level of GDP growth that you see much for Western European countries these days.
