I will go to sleep early because I can’t work knowing that someone else “on the other coast” is following a consistent sleep schedule, and therefore generating higher-quality ideas and executing them more effectively.
Because of leverage, sleeping well to be sharp and make higher quality decisions has far more long-term impact than sacrificing sleep to work longer hours.
