Talking of parties, he showed open contempt for the public. His lying about what took place in downing street upset me more then the actual violations. Many of the lockdown restrictions were stupid, arbitrary and in retrospect unnecessary. He would know that better then most people, but the whole think reeked of sleaze.
It was also under him that they lost control of immigration. Something which labour is (rightfully) getting battered over.
The Conservatives are imploding have completely lost control of the narrative to Reform, they are being punished by the voters and it all started with this man. It was so unnecessary, 200 years of dominance destroyed by ego and selfishness.
Putting COVID to one side, because all that is very well documented in the ongoing public enquiry....
He was a bad egg from day one really.
To this day, I continue to say:The only reason Boris got into power is because the alternative was Corbyn. People held their nose and chose the least-worst option.
If Labour had a viable alernative, Boris might have still got in, but he absolutely would not have the 80 seat majority and hence would not have been able to show such contempt for the public because of the lack of majority.
They were never really fiscally responsible, they liked to cut taxes but were never interested in managing the budget.
