Using this knowledge users were able to decompile and reassemble the director client in such a way that it ran stand alone similar to how Sulake's newer Flash client can run on the desktop.
I also assume there's all sorts of old dead projects in Shockwave that if someone had the original DCRs / CCTs to could probably put in effort to recreate / resurrect in a modern setting as well.
