Partisan Gerrymandering After Rucho

Texas is fighting two things here:

1. Growing awareness of methods like ranked choice voting. This threatens the effect of wingnuts winning primaries, which is another word for purity at the cost of competence.

2. Red states welcoming workers and retirees from blue states. Without an income tax, those newcomers won’t feel like they foot a disproportionate part of the bill.
