It's probable the EU will develop alternatives to US products as they become less trustworthy. Microsoft seems to be developing Windows into adware and spyware.
The key question will be whether the EU and UK fully ban the use of US communications products in government, such as Whatapp. The idea that Western countries use private messaging apps to conduct government business, with no oversight, traceability or proper records, is absurd.
