Unpopular opinion: Nintendo console emulators, open source or not, are probably used to play games illegally 99.99% of the time. Forums and Hacker News commentators like to stand behind the 0.01% of the time when someone actually plays the games legally. Therefore, I've always sided with Nintendo on these lawsuits.
