I’m looking for something like Searchcord, which was a site with full text search of public, indexable messages from public Discord servers. It got taken down after people complained about their messages being stored or tracked, even though they were posting in public Discord servers :)

I don’t want to self-host or scrape 30+ TB of messages myself, so if there’s anything similar already out there, I’d love to know.

The author is looking for a service like Searchcord that provides full-text search of public Discord messages, but is aware of the potential privacy concerns that led to Searchcord's shutdown.

In the “farewell” letter, the creator of searchcord recommends “Answer Overflow.” I haven’t tried it, but it’s opt-in so it’s probably a lot smaller than searchcord was. Also if you’re fine with building your own search engine, there is a dataset (I think 2 tb uncompressed and like 116 gb compressed) floating around out there with ~ 2 billion discord messages in it, which would be about 1/32 the size of searchcord I think. If you did do that, I would be interested in hearing how well it works.
