Gen Z junior dev here - I haven't actually worked with anyone my age professionally, so I can't comment on that, but I will say most of my peers who are still unemployed or students seem pretty pessimistic about the job market right now and are looking pretty earnestly for positions, ie they'll take whatever is offered and have applied to many places (people have told me 500+)
