My last position post retirement was as a data scientist and I rolled out a substantial R system and was fairly excited about it. But the targeted environments were fairly restricted and we had to port over to Python.
But, yes, R has always been a breath of fresh air. I don’t think I am capable of getting excited about Python. I’m surprised it’s so popular.
