I started writing an advice piece for Computer Science majors and new grads but quickly realized that all of my experience as a hiring manager came from the software engineer boom, pre-AI. So anything I would say would probably feel out of date and tone deaf. Instead I wrote about what it was like to be a CS major who struggled to get my first role in industry, starting with freshman year. Definitely more uncomfortable than writing from the secure position of a hiring manager but also more satisfying.
