See, the problem with labeling groups as "evil terrorists who undermine democracy" is that you end up implicating America and Israel as well. 1953 coup, SAVAK and whatnot.

Nothing? They won't extradite war criminals to the ICC to be held trial, so it will probably be used as justification for annexation or other illegal goals.

What did you expect. 2000 mass murderers and rapists were released from Israeli prisons back to Gaza. Do you think they are going to finish their physics Phd? Hamas promised to kill all men of the opposing clan and "blow up" their women's vaginas. Reminds me of USSR, when Stalin died in 1953. They released from Gulags not the political prisoners but all the criminals, murderers, thieves... What followed that was an unprecedented wave of crime. I did have "some hope" that maybe people of Gaza would experience peace, they could move towards "self government" and a rebuilding program would begin.

I think, Lets hope, Trumps peace plan gets some traction and a rebuilding program can begin ....

Hope is all we've got. Trump's plan has no punishment for either side if they start killing people again. Trump also has no plan to extradite war criminals out of Gaza and Israel for fair international trial so these massacres can be brought to justice. There are people accused of war crimes all over the Levant and Trump has no plan to stop them.

Since neither the US nor Israel wants to bring these killers to justice, it's looking like there won't be any peace. Just a deal between terrorists, then more fighting.

As the Israel Defence Forces withdrew from some parts of Gaza, in accordance with Donald Trump’s peace plan, Hamas sent gunmen back on to the streets.

Their very first priority was not to confront any Israelis, nor to feed or assist their civilian population. It was instead to hunt down and kill Palestinians opposed to Hamas.

There was a good deal of killing in gunbattles, but Hamas also rounded up Palestinian men it didn’t like, tied them up, forced them to kneel, and shot them to death......"
