I knew this back in the late 80's.
Black clients, particularly young Afro-Caribbean men, here in the UK, were regularly diagnosed with psychosis (cannabis psychosis), because they were more likely to be smoking weed.
The discrimination felt by the Rastafarian community was real, as they were more likely to be sectioned under the mental health act.
At the time my colleagues and I thought this to be more about racism within white psychiatric establishment.
Prejudice in society after all is also reflected within psychiatric community.
