TechInsights is Canadian, and Canada has a so-called free trade agreement with China [1,2]. If China can simply use a vague excuse to blacklist Canadian firms despite this agreement, then what exactly is its point? Tying Canada's hands from responding in kind? It seems it's even more one-sided than initially thought.
