I could study myself and my spouse, gain insight through therapy and the study of psychology and evolutionary biology into the nuance at the source of my interpersonal problems — or, I could outsource the insight to an LLM to exploit another’s weaknesses, leaving my own unattended to.
While I don’t rule out the existence of truly incompatible parties, I wonder how many otherwise salvageable relationships will be undermined by this practice.
The predilection for laying blame/explanation on tech and not on people continues to drive clicks. Nothing new here I guess.
