- Halt and Catch Fire (actually pretty good quality and full series)
- The Playlist (creation of Spotify)
- The Dropout (creation of Theranos... do not get advice from this one though)
- WeCrashed (about WeWork, haven't seen this one though)
- Silicon Valley (silly comedy but might work)
Also some TV/movies/docs you might find in YouTube:
- Pirates of Silicon Valley (movie about bill gates and steve jobs)
- Project Code Rush (about the beginning of Mozilla)
- Aardvark'd: 12 weeks with geeks (doc about a startup by Joel Spolsky of StackOverflow fame).
Oh and also those two Steve Job movies that came out side by side.
Brainstorm - shows the progression of developing technology (in this case a device that can record and playback a subjects' experiences.)
Real Genius - College antics with a bunch of kids developing a stronger laser
Silicon Valley - mini series again about silicon valley culture/developing new tech - also how ideas are discovered and others stumble upon similar, etc.
American Experience: Silicon Valley - documentary of early silicon valley and the people who started the companies
Halt and Catch Fire (series)
Silicon Valley (series)
Very similar themes and story. Not about an “app” but how McDonalds works is about food preparation innovation and the tech/process behind it. And like The Social Network a lot of people are left in Krocs dust.
