Stupid people are unable to learn from history or the experience of others, they must learn everything first-hand. The decline of American education over the course of the past 50 years or so has resulted in a not insignificant portion of Americans are stupid. It's sad, but I always knew this day would eventually come. There's a price to pay for decimating education and not teaching people critical thinking skills.
