Anime Series That Will Teach You About Economics

Most of the shows they mention won't teach you anything about economics. The Spice and Wolf merchant might be the world's worst businessman, and it's about mercantile caravan-style trading rather than economics per se. Trillion Game was terrible -- basically a power fantasy with self-insert characters. I checked out after the secondary protagonist started bench-pressing 200kg to show off. I should have dropped the series long before then -- after he casually beat up some Yakuza. The apparent message of the series, that being a bullshitter pays off more than anything else, is also rather pernicious.

Though bizarre, The Dungeon of Black Company is the only anime series that might teach you something about economics and labor relations.
