This would be the equivalent of denying travel to their bloc by any former US president - where the US would screech like a spoiled child if their person got denied a visa.

It's funny how quick they are to make a statement about this, when it's one of their guys (Breton), but the many employees at the ICC, they have to complain in the media about being effectively barred from using financial services and despite that, for them they don't even put out a press release.

Sure, but when you're hosting an international institution you should be expected to ensure circumstances that allow it to function.

Sanctions aren't like normal boycotts and banks aren't normally allowed to terminate the accounts of law-abiding people.

The UN has become a death trap for politician's careers, and so the EU and the UN are no longer friends (the US defunded the UN ... and, much less reported, the EU largely followed suit)

And yes, these organizations defend the careers of their previous members. Of course.

Plus most of the people with real positions there make Musk look like an altruistic genuinely kind person, so these discussions aren't nice.

We know what this really means, the EU will really do nothing but maybe talk to the US ambassador in a stern tone. I wish here in the US and elsewhere people would stand up to the current US regime.

Yes, bar some high level people in the US. Treat the US like was done to the USSR using tit-for-tat diplomacy. You need to stand up to bullies.
