all these app aside, another problem of mine was knowing more details about the country i moved to, but in english, so … I picked up an abandoned project (lync.me), turned it into a clean, ad-free hub for expats, and somehow it blew up way faster than I expected only and only by doing some SEO stuff. turns out google really likes it and start showing my pages few days after submission/crawling. the thing is i don't pay for ads, did not do much for backlinking ( using existing ones but unfo with different keywords) and only rely on SEO, and it worked perfectly, surprisingly ;)
now basically zero idea how to monetize it without ruining the vibe. I’d rather not shove ads back in, but servers and time don’t pay for themselves.
