Predictions Markets and the Suckerfication Crisis

It's a shame how sleazy the leading markets are currently since prediction markets are awesome in principle. I wonder if this is a result of the institutional resistance to them, especially on the left; only companies run by less than upstanding folks are willing and able to navigate the current regulatory gray areas. Hopefully things change for the better at some point.

One of the very few areas I agree with the modern right on is that we shouldn't reflexively ban prediction markets, but they could certainly be better than they are now.
