After leaving my full-time Eng job I tried freelancing and struggled with how to price myself. Price negotiations are an imperfect information game: there's a range I'm willing to accept as pay, and there's a range my client's willing to pay, but we're always kind of guessing at the other's range to find something palatable.
Had an idea to introduce a 3rd party that does know both ranges, and chooses a fair price that works for both parties.
