1 replyArtificial turfs shed so many plastics that it’s outrageous for it to even be legal. It just amounts to mass pollution. Those granules that are in their foundation degrade into millions of particles each. They probably impact hormones in kids. But they are also basically permanent. There’s no way to clean up something that is so small and spread everywhere. Unfortunately many cities and school districts are going the artificial route for budget reasons (maintaining grass is hard) instead of fixing their uncontrolled spending elsewhere.

It's not even really less expensive. Turf is so expensive, ROI is far in the future anyway.
