Cloudflare MITM argument just because Cloudflare is in the middle without details is not very convincing or helpful.
Meanwhile high profile data breeches, usually with a human-based root cause, aren’t uncommon these days.
I’m not implying Cloudflare will someday be breeched, but it’s a non-zero possibility, and thanks to their position as an SSL-decrypting and re-encrypting intermediary, would be totally transparent to origins and end users.
That said, I use Cloudflare for sites I host. It’s just an interesting philosophical discussion point.
