Psychedelics are an escape in the same way a workout or a long hike is an escape. I see this as different to the escape you get from opioids or alcohol.
Your point still stands that you need to address your problems eventually.
I get reduced anxiety only for the afterglow the day after. No feelings of interconnectedness (that went away as I grew older)
Microdosing has allowed me to reduce anxiety daily for a little longer, even with tolerance but overall I wouldn't take it long term.
Cutting out coffee has a better effect reducing it than psychedelics for me and maybe the microdosing effect was due to me replacing coffee with it...
What really helped me with anxiety was NAC. Antioxidants are great.
