1 replyI didn't realize they release the English version at the same time as the French one. Is the translation good?

1 replyCan't specifically comment on the translation as I don't know French, but I grew up reading the English versions of this comic and have always enjoyed it. Ofcourse, those were by Anthea Bell whose translations have been acclaimed in the media ( https://www.theguardian.com/books/2018/oct/18/anthea-bell-ma... ) , and online too. Now someone else has taken up the translation. Overall though, I was a bit disappointed with the writing, by Fabcaro, for this issue - it wasn't as good as Asterix and the White Iris (the previous issue). (Don't know if something was lost in the tranlsation this time). Personally, I enjoyed the stories written by Jean-Yves Ferri's (the Picts, the Missing Scroll, the Chariot Race, the Chieftain's Daughter and the Griffin) more than Fabcaro (who wrote for the last two issues).

1 replyI had heard about the old translations being great but I never read one. I should look them up although here in France might be hard lol.
